Seven inches long and finished in the Chateau series cedar sleeve, the King T is the tall member of the Chateau Fuente family in its natural wrapper. It has a pale, tan complexion and an easy manner, which is why it often comes up when guests ask us about Dominican cigars in Dubai for a long evening.
Profile: Mild to medium, as rated by Cigar Aficionado.
Flavour Notes: Orange peel, vanilla, walnut and cinnamon over a toasty base, per Cigar Aficionado.
How It Smokes: Cigar Aficionado described a silky, creamy smoke from the first puffs, and that sets our reading. The first third is smooth and lightly toasted, with orange peel lifting the top notes. In the middle vanilla and walnut settle in, while the toast stays underneath as a frame. The final third adds a touch of cinnamon, keeping the finish warm and gentle. A 49 ring leaves room for an open, comfortable draw across the full length.
Blend Details: Rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic. The maker offers the King T in this natural wrapper and, separately, as the King T Rosado Sungrown. This one uses a Connecticut shade wrapper over Dominican binder and filler.
