Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Cuban Corona (5.25 x 45)

Despite the name, this is a Dominican cigar through and through. The Cuban Corona has an unusual silhouette: a rounded, belicoso style cap and a foot that tapers before flaring out. It is a compact Gran Reserva with real character, and one we enjoy showing guests looking for Arturo Fuente in Dubai.

Size: 5.25 x 45 (133 mm)
Shape: Corona
Wrapper: Cameroon
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Dominican Republic
Country of Origin: Dominican Republic

Profile: Medium, as rated by Cigar Aficionado.

Flavour Notes: Sweet spice, raw cocoa bean and cinnamon, with a charred finish, per Cigar Aficionado.

How It Smokes: The tapered foot means the light catches a narrower section first, so the opening is quick. In our reading the first third is sweet and spicy, with raw cocoa bean underneath. Through the middle cinnamon comes forward and the sweetness holds. The finish turns charred and dry. At five and a quarter inches it is a short, focused smoke with more shape than most coronas.

Blend Details: Made at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic as part of the Gran Reserva family. This natural version uses a Cameroon wrapper over Dominican binder and filler; the maker also lists a maduro.
