Thick and slightly shorter than a classic toro, the Vitola 56 puts a wide 56 ring under the same aged Rosado Sungrown leaf. The extra girth changes the balance of the smoke, which is why some guests at our boutique prefer it to the 54. A distinctive Dominican choice among premium cigars in Dubai.

Flavour Notes: Minerality, pecan, mocha and molasses, a wisp of red pepper on a cedar finish, per Cigar Aficionado.
How It Smokes: In our reading the first third is led by a clear mineral quality. Sweeter notes of pecan and mocha brighten it through the middle, with molasses adding depth. The finish is cedary, with a wisp of red pepper. The wide ring draws well; Cigar Aficionado's tasters did see some unevenness in the burn, so an occasional touch up may help.
Blend Details: Created by Carlos Fuente Jr. at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic and first released in December 2009. The wrapper comes from the lower primings of Ecuadorian plants and was aged for nearly a decade; Cigar Aficionado reports it was Sumatra seed leaf held back from the Fuente Sun Grown line. Each vitola is named for its ring gauge, so the 56 is simply a 56 ring.
