Flavour Notes: Spice and natural sweetness at the start, then leather, earth, a trace of vanilla and a floral lift on the finish.
How It Smokes: It opens with spice on the lips and a sweetness that belongs to the wrapper rather than to any additive. Through the middle third the pepper settles into leather and dark earth, and the smoke thickens without turning heavy. The last third is the reason people chase this cigar: a soft vanilla note and something close to dried flowers, carried by the same oily, sweet wrapper that has defined OpusX since the beginning.
Blend Details: OpusX is a Dominican puro. Wrapper, binder and filler are all Fuente estate tobaccos, and the wrapper is grown at Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic. The cigars are rolled by hand at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in Santiago. The Double Robusto is produced in periodic runs rather than continuously, so allocations arrive in limited numbers.
