The OpusX "Les Chaînes de l'Amour" Lighter in Red is a collector's edition from Brizard & Co., created with S.T. Dupont, Maccarrone and Arturo Fuente. It is the first S.T. Dupont lighter to carry handcrafted fine marquetry, and it bears the OpusX chains emblem in 24k gold.
Production is limited to 99 numbered pieces in Red. Each lighter is individually numbered and arrives with its own numbered plaque and certificate.
The front panel is Maccarrone marquetry: burl walnut and tulipwood cut into fine elements and assembled into one continuous, flush pattern. Against that warm grain sits the OpusX emblem in 24k gold with its red lacquer chains, the motif that names the edition. Around it, S.T. Dupont applies its own house language, the diamond head guilloche cut in Faverges since 1872, a gold finish and the hinged cap that opens with the sound collectors know.
The presentation is part of the object: box, ostrich pouch, embroidered OpusX pouch, numbered plaque and certificate, so the edition can be kept complete.
Habanora is the exclusive distributor in Dubai of the OpusX Project lighters, the collaboration of Arturo Fuente, Brizard & Co., Maccarrone and S.T. Dupont. The Red edition is held in a very small allocation.
It comes from Brizard & Co. with S.T. Dupont, Maccarrone and Arturo Fuente. S.T. Dupont built the lighter, Maccarrone executed the marquetry, and the OpusX emblem is Arturo Fuente's.
