The Mágicos is Cohiba's Maduro 5 robusto, 115 mm at a 52 ring, and it appeared in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 for 2024. Our boutique in Downtown Dubai keeps it in boxes of 25 for those exploring premium cigars in Dubai through Cohiba's darker line.
Profile: Medium to full (Habanos rating: Medium to Full)
Flavour Notes: Salted peanut, sweet hickory and honey, as published by Cigar Aficionado (Top 25, 2024).
How It Smokes: The first third opens on salted peanut, a savoury start that the five-year wrapper rounds with a quiet sweetness. In the middle, sweet hickory comes through, smoky and woody, with the nut still present beneath it. The last third adds honey and lets the hickory settle, so the finish reads balanced rather than heavy. The short, thick format keeps the smoke dense and the draw open from the first light to the band.
Blend Details: Cohiba is rolled by hand at the El Laguito factory in Havana, with leaves drawn from vegas in San Juan y Martínez and San Luis in Vuelta Abajo, Pinar del Río. It is the only Habanos brand in which the seco and ligero leaves go through an additional fermentation. Mágicos is one of the three original Maduro 5 sizes from 2007.
