The Cuaba Exclusivos is one of the four sizes that launched the brand in 1996, a 145 mm double figurado at 46 ring rolled in the Exquisitos vitola. It brings a nineteenth-century Havana shape to our boutique, kept in boxes of 25 for aficionados of premium cigars in Dubai.
Profile: Medium to full (Habanos rating: Medium to Full)
Flavour Notes: Vegetal notes, leather, spice and balsamic, as published by Cigars Lover.
How It Smokes: The tapered foot lights fast and the first third opens on vegetal notes and leather at a medium strength. The middle holds that line with little change, a steady, even passage as the cigar reaches its full width. In the final third, spice and a balsamic tone arrive and the strength nudges a little higher, giving the finish more presence. Reviewers describe a dark, Colorado Maduro toned wrapper over a medium-bodied profile.
Blend Details: Cuaba revived the nineteenth-century double figurado style in 1996 at the Romeo y Julieta factory in Havana. Its name is a Taíno word for a highly combustible bush once used to light cigars in ceremonies. Every Cuaba is totally handmade with long filler, with wrapper and filler leaves from Vuelta Abajo, Pinar del Río.
