The E.P. Carrillo Allegiance Wingman is the long, box-pressed 6 7/8 x 54 of the Allegiance line, an eighth-priming Sumatra wrapper from Ecuador's Quevedo region over Nicaraguan tobacco. Among the E.P. Carrillo cigars in Dubai, it is the size for a longer evening, medium to full and steady from end to end.
Profile: Medium to Full
Flavour Notes: Spice, nut, a light sweetness and a hint of black coffee over an earthy base.
Ours opens with nut and a soft sweetness off the Sumatra leaf, the press giving a firm, even draw. Through the first third a measured spice builds beneath it. The middle is where the length pays off: earth deepens, and a faint line of black coffee arrives and stays. The final third grows richer without turning hot, the spice returning in a slow, warm finish. A cigar that rewards patience over a long sitting.
Allegiance is the Casa Carrillo line made in partnership with Oliva Cigar Co. in Nicaragua. Its wrapper is an eighth-priming Sumatra leaf from Quevedo, Ecuador, chosen for its smooth, slightly sweet character, laid over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler that bring the earth and spice. The Wingman is the longest size in the line. Find the full range in our E.P. Carrillo collection.
