The E.P. Carrillo Encore Celestial is a 6 1/8 x 50 Toro dressed in a Nicaraguan Colorado wrapper, from the house's first all-Nicaraguan blend. For anyone exploring E.P. Carrillo cigars in Dubai, Celestial shows the elegant side of the line: an easy draw and a smooth, polished body.
Profile: Medium
Flavour Notes: Oak, tea, caramel sweetness and a tangy citrus note.
Ours opens on dry oak and a light, clean note of tea, the draw generous without being loose. In the middle third a caramel sweetness rises and softens the wood, and a tangy citrus brightens the smoke from time to time. The finish keeps its manners: oak returns, the sweetness lingers, nothing turns harsh. It is a cigar for the late afternoon or an early evening, about an hour and a half of smooth, even burning.
Encore is E.P. Carrillo's first all-Nicaraguan blend, handmade in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera La Alianza. The line has a strong pedigree: the Encore Majestic was named Cigar Aficionado's Cigar of the Year for 2018. Celestial wraps Nicaraguan tobacco from Estelí, Condega and Jalapa in a Colorado leaf for a refined, balanced smoke. See the full range in our E.P. Carrillo collection.
