The spice settles after the first inch and the wood comes in: aged cedar first, then a drier oak. Through the middle the two trade places without losing pace. The final third softens into a creamy, velvety finish that takes the edge off the pepper. Short enough for an evening, with a lot happening along the way.

Blend Details

Encore is Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's second cigar in the series that began with La Historia. It is a Nicaraguan puro by leaf, with wrapper, binder and filler all from Nicaragua, and it is made in the Dominican Republic. The Majestic, at 5 3/8 x 52, carries the line's 2018 Cigar of the Year title from Cigar Aficionado.
