The E.P. Carrillo INCH Nicaragua No. 70 is the biggest size in Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's big ring INCH line: seven inches long and a full 70 ring. It is a Nicaraguan puro, Habano leaf over Nicaraguan tobacco from three regions, and a generous format among the Nicaraguan cigars we keep in our Downtown Dubai humidor.
Profile: Full
Flavour Notes: Spice, earth, black pepper, cedar and a quiet sweetness.
Ours opens with a broad wave of cedar and earth, the pepper present but kept in check by the sheer width of the cigar. On the first third the smoke is cool and plentiful, and a gentle sweetness sits under the spice. The middle brings more depth: warm baking spice, darker earth, a drier cedar on the palate. Toward the final third the pepper returns with more confidence and the finish lingers. This is a cigar for a long, unhurried evening, and it rewards a slow pace from the first light to the band.
INCH is Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's line for large ring gauges, built so that every size measures at least an inch across, a 60 ring or wider. The Nicaragua blend keeps everything in one country: a Habano wrapper and binder over filler drawn from Estelí, Condega and Jalapa, three regions that bring spice, structure and sweetness in turn. The No. 70 is the top size in this edition. See the full range in our E.P. Carrillo collection.
