The El Septimo The 7 Collection First Edition is the release that set the tone for the house, a 5 x 54 Robusto Extra that is balanced, creamy and smooth. For anyone starting with El Septimo cigars in Dubai, it is the natural first chapter, and one we keep in our Downtown Dubai humidor for exactly that reason.
Profile: Medium, balanced and smooth
Flavour Notes: Creamy textures, subtle spice and a refined natural sweetness that grows more complex as it burns.
Ours opens creamy, with a soft texture that coats the palate from the first draw. In the first third a subtle spice appears at the edges, enough to keep it interesting. Through the middle, a natural sweetness builds and the flavours begin to layer, each draw a little more complex than the last. The draw stays clean and the burn even throughout. The final third is smooth and composed, finishing on cream and a gentle spice.
The 7 Collection First Edition is the foundation release of El Septimo, rolled by hand in Costa Rica from the house's own long-aged tobacco and made for a clean draw and an even burn. The leaf recipe is not published, so we describe it by its character: refined, creamy and balanced. See where the house went next in our El Septimo collection.
