The Gurkha 35th Anniversary marks three and a half decades of the brand with a medium-bodied Toro rolled at the El Artista factory in the Dominican Republic. An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a rose gold band make it one of the more handsome Gurkha cigars in Dubai, and a fitting choice for a milestone of your own.
Profile: Medium
Flavour Notes: Cedar, toasted bread and almond, with a honey-like finish.
Ours opens on dry cedar and the warm smell of toasted bread, with the Habano wrapper adding a quiet richness at the lips. By the middle third a soft almond note settles in and the smoke grows rounder, never sharp. The 54 ring keeps the draw full and even through a long sitting. Toward the finish a honeyed sweetness gathers and lingers, a gentle close that suits the late hours of an evening.
Rolled at El Artista in the Dominican Republic, the blend sets an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over an Indonesian binder and a filler of Criollo '98 with Nicaraguan tobacco from Estelí. It was first shown in a 150-count humidor at the 2023 PCA Convention and later released in boxes of 10, each cigar wearing a rose gold band with the Gurkha emblem.
