The Gurkha Cellar Reserve 21 Year Hedonism is a limited edition in the Cellar Reserve line, made with tobacco aged for 21 years and finished in a silky Connecticut Shade wrapper. Rolled in the Dominican Republic as a Solara Double Robusto, it is a refined, balanced way into Gurkha cigars in Dubai.
Profile: Medium
Flavour Notes: Creamy cedar and soft spice, with a smooth, balanced finish.
Ours opens smooth and creamy, the Connecticut Shade wrapper laying a light, silky texture over a base of cedar. Through the middle third a soft spice comes and goes, adding interest without heat. The 58 ring gives a full, cool draw that rewards a slow pace. The last third stays composed and elegant, cedar and cream returning for a finish that is long, even and clean, well suited to a quiet morning or an early evening.
Made in the Dominican Republic, the 21 Year sets an aged Connecticut Shade wrapper over Dominican and Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is the fifth release in the limited Cellar Reserve series and the first to use a Connecticut Shade leaf, presented in a box of 20. See the full house in our Gurkha collection.
