Under a dark Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper, this one is a 6 x 58 grand format with a wide ring and a long, slow burn, and a considered choice in our Downtown Dubai humidor for anyone who values aged tobacco.

Size: 6 x 58

Shape: Hedonism Grand Robusto

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Oscuro

Binder: Nicaraguan

Filler: Nicaraguan, aged up to 12 years, from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa

Country of Origin: Nicaragua

Profile: Medium

How It Smokes

Gurkha describes the Platinum Edition as rich and complex rather than naming individual notes, and that is how ours reads. The Oscuro wrapper gives a dark, dense first impression, and the long-aged Nicaraguan tobacco from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa rounds it off so the body stays medium rather than heavy. Across the middle the layers come forward slowly, one after another, and the generous ring keeps the pace easy. It is a cigar to sit with, not to rush.

Blend Details

An Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper encases a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler aged for up to twelve years, drawn from the Condega, Estelí and Jalapa growing regions.
