The Gurkha Cellar Reserve Platinum Edition is the boldest chapter of the Cellar Reserve line and the only one built on Nicaraguan tobacco. A dark, oily Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper covers binder and filler aged up to 12 years, making it a serious choice among Nicaraguan cigars in Dubai for the experienced smoker.
Profile: Medium-full to full
Flavour Notes: Earth, black pepper, cocoa, espresso and a hint of dark sweetness.
Ours opens with deep earth and a firm line of black pepper, the Oscuro wrapper leaving an oily richness on the lips. By the middle third cocoa and espresso take hold and the smoke turns dense and dark. The 58 ring keeps it cool despite the weight of the blend. In the final third a faint dark sweetness rises under the pepper, softening the edges for a long, full finish that suits the late hours.
Unlike the earlier Cellar Reserve blends, the Platinum uses Nicaraguan binder and filler leaves aged up to 12 years, finished in a dark Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper for depth and intensity. It is the fullest release in the series and a collector's cigar. Find more of the house in our Gurkha collection.
