The Gurkha Grand Reserve Corona Natural is the slimmest size of Gurkha's cognac-infused flagship, a 5 x 42 in a five-year Connecticut Shade wrapper, presented in a glass tube. Among the infused Gurkha cigars in Dubai it is the most concentrated way to meet the Grand Reserve.
Profile: Medium to Full
Flavour Notes: Cognac infusion over aged Dominican tobacco.
Ours comes out of the glass tube carrying a clear cognac aroma, and the slim 42 ring keeps that character at the front from the first draw. The silky wrapper burns neatly and the smoke is smooth but has more weight than its pale colour suggests. Through the middle the aged Dominican tobacco steps forward under the cognac. The Corona is short, so the infusion stays present to the end, finishing warm and medium to full.
Gurkha calls the Grand Reserve its flagship: a cognac-infused cigar with a silky Connecticut Shade wrapper aged five years over a Dominican binder and filler aged three years, made in the Dominican Republic and presented in a glass tube. It comes as Corona, Robusto, Torpedo and Churchill, all in a natural wrapper.
