The Gurkha Private Select Corona Natural is the slim, short Private Select, a 5 x 42 in a Connecticut Shade wrapper with the sweetness of seven-year Ron Abuelo rum. Among the infused Gurkha cigars in Dubai it suits a short pause with plenty of character.
Profile: Medium
Flavour Notes: Cocoa and nuts, toffee, with leather and earthy undertones, finished with seven-year Ron Abuelo rum.
Ours puts the rum and toffee sweetness right at the front, the slim 42 ring concentrating the flavour from the first draw. Cocoa follows quickly and the nuts arrive by the middle. Because it is short, the infusion stays present almost to the end. The burn is quick and neat. It finishes medium and smooth, the most direct way to taste the Private Select blend.
Private Select pairs Gurkha tobacco with the sweetness of seven-year-aged Ron Abuelo rum. Gurkha lists a Dominican binder and Dominican filler, made in the Dominican Republic, and rates it medium. It comes as a Churchill Maduro and as Toro and Corona in a natural wrapper.
