The Gurkha Triad Platinum is the darker edition of Gurkha's ultra-premium Triad: a ten-year Connecticut Maduro wrapper over an eight-year Cameroon binder and eight-year Dominican filler, made in Nicaragua. Produced in very small numbers, it is one of the rarest Gurkha cigars in Dubai.

Ours has the deep, even colour of a long-fermented Maduro and lights with a dense, rounded first draw. Ten years on the wrapper and eight on the binder and filler give the smoke a calm, settled weight rather than any edge. Through the long middle the body builds steadily toward medium to full and the Cameroon binder keeps the texture supple. The burn is precise throughout. The last third is rich and composed, a cigar for an occasion.
Triad is one of Gurkha's ultra-premium releases, made in Nicaragua in a run that Gurkha limits to 300 boxes for the world, presented in an antique-style box designed by Kaizad Hansotia. It comes in two editions, Natural and Platinum, each a 7.25 x 52 rated medium to full. The Platinum pairs a ten-year Connecticut Maduro wrapper with an eight-year Cameroon binder and eight-year Dominican filler.
