The Gurkha Tyson 2.0 Undisputed Maduro Gordo Extra is the larger of the two Undisputed Maduro sizes, created by Gurkha with Mike Tyson and made with El Artista. Packed in a black-top humidor box of 15, it is one of the heavier-set Gurkha cigars in Dubai, a 7 x 60 for an unhurried evening.
Profile: Medium body, full flavour
Flavour Notes: Dark chocolate and peppery spice.
Ours opens on dark chocolate with a quiet edge of pepper, the 60 ring making the first third broad and cool. The San Andrés wrapper leaves a faint sweetness on the lips between draws. Through the long middle the pepper sharpens into a proper spice and the chocolate deepens rather than fades. The final third gathers flavour more than strength, which stays at a steady medium. It is a big cigar that keeps its manners throughout.
Undisputed Maduro is made with El Artista in the Dominican Republic. It pairs a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper with a Cameroon binder and a filler of T13, Corojo and Broadleaf tobaccos. Gurkha describes it as medium in body and full in flavour, and offers it as a 6 x 54 Toro Gordo and a 7 x 60 Gordo Extra.
