The La Aurora Connecticut 1987 Gran Toro comes from the house's Time Capsule series and honours 1987, the year La Aurora first made Connecticut wrapper cigars. For those choosing La Aurora cigars in Dubai with a lighter profile in mind, this generous 6 x 58 is smooth, creamy and refined.
Profile: Mild to Medium
Flavour Notes: Cedar, coffee, toasted nuts and a hint of citrus over a creamy base.
Ours opens creamy and smooth, the pale Connecticut Shade leaf giving soft cedar from the first draw. Through the first third, coffee and toasted nuts sit on that creamy base. The wide 58 ring keeps the smoke cool and full in the mouth. A light citrus note brightens the middle, and the finish stays mellow and clean. It is a fine morning or daytime cigar, and an easy one to share with a guest.
Part of the Time Capsule series, the Connecticut 1987 sets a mellow Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Dominican binder, with a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco. It is rolled by hand in the Dominican Republic. See the full range in our La Aurora collection.
