The La Aurora Connecticut 1987 Robusto commemorates 1987, when La Aurora first used a Connecticut Shade wrapper. In our Downtown Dubai humidor it is the gentle, creamy side of the Original Blends, mellow and quietly sweet.
Profile: Mild to Medium
Flavour Notes: Cream, wood and cocoa with a nutty edge and a hint of citrus.
Ours opens creamy and soft, with a light wood note and a little natural sweetness. Through the first third cocoa joins in and the texture stays smooth on the palate. The middle brings a nutty quality that reads almost gourmand on the retrohale. Near the end a hint of citrus appears and keeps the finish fresh rather than heavy. In the Robusto the arc is compact and the flavours arrive a little sooner, which suits a shorter evening.
