The La Aurora Corojo 1962 Gran Toro marks 1962, the year La Aurora first used a Corojo wrapper. Part of the Original Blends, it is a Dominican cigar in our Downtown Dubai humidor that starts with spice and settles into something gentler.
Profile: Mild to Medium
Flavour Notes: Earth and pepper at the start, then honey and floral notes over a deep wood aroma.
Ours lights with an earthy start and a clear line of pepper on the tongue. The spice does not stay long: by the first inch it gives way to a soft honey sweetness. In the middle third floral notes lift the smoke while a deeper wood aroma fills the room. The sun-grown Corojo burns steadily, and the finish stays subtly sweet. The wide 58 ring of the Gran Toro keeps the smoke cool and full, and the evening stretches out.
One of La Aurora's Original Blends, each honouring a milestone year for the house. The Corojo 1962 sets a sun-grown Dominican Corojo wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, with Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, rolled by hand in the Dominican Republic. More from the house in our La Aurora collection.
