The La Aurora Maduro 1985 Robusto is an Original Blends release marking 1985, the first year La Aurora used a Brazilian Maduro wrapper. Of the La Aurora cigars in Dubai, it is the dark, rich Robusto, with real depth in a compact 5 x 50.
Profile: Medium to Full
Flavour Notes: Oak, dark chocolate, espresso, leather and almond, with black pepper and a dried-fruit sweetness.
Ours opens on oak and dark chocolate, the Maduro wrapper deep in colour and rich on the lips. Espresso follows quickly through the first third, with a light black pepper behind it. In the middle, leather and almond add texture and the body settles at medium to full. A dried-fruit sweetness rises toward the finish and balances the darker notes. The Robusto size makes it a fine choice when time is shorter but we still want depth.
Part of La Aurora's Original Blends, the Maduro 1985 wraps an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler in a Brazilian Maduro leaf. It is rolled by hand in the Dominican Republic and was scored 85 by Halfwheel. Explore the Original Blends in our La Aurora collection.
