The La Aurora Maduro 1985 Toro celebrates 1985 and La Aurora's first Brazilian Maduro wrapper. The newest of the Original Blends, it brings a dark, oily leaf and a Nicaraguan core to our Downtown Dubai humidor.
Profile: Medium to Full
Flavour Notes: Earth and pepper, then almond, dried fruit and dark chocolate, closing on coffee cream and tropical fruit.
Ours opens rich and earthy, with a neat touch of pepper from the oily Maduro leaf. Through the first third dried fruit and almond come forward. In the middle an elegant dark chocolate takes over, and the body sits firmly at medium to full. Coffee cream and a tropical fruit sweetness close the smoke, so the finish is round rather than bitter. The Toro gives the blend a longer stretch, so each stage has room to settle before the next begins.
The newest of La Aurora's Original Blends: a Brazilian Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, rolled by hand in the Dominican Republic. More from the house in our La Aurora collection.
