The La Aurora Preferidos 1903 Edition Parejo Broadleaf Toro is the Diamond expression of La Aurora's Preferidos 1903 collection in its parejo toro form, dressed in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Preferidos are made in small batches in the Dominican Republic, and this is one of the rarer La Aurora cigars in our Downtown Dubai humidor.
Profile: Medium to Full
Flavour Notes: Oak and cedar, cream and sweetness, nuts and almond, citrus, coffee and cocoa.
Ours opens on oak and cedar, the dark, oily Broadleaf giving a creamy, sweet smoke from the start. Coffee and cocoa build through the first third. In the middle nuts and almond come forward and a thread of citrus keeps it lively. The flavour is intense while the body stays at medium to full, and the finish carries a natural sweetness to the last inch. The Toro gives the blend a longer stretch, so each stage has room to settle before the next begins.
The Preferidos 1903 collection is hand-crafted in small batches by torcedores with more than 15 years of experience, using premium barrel-aged tobacco, in the La Aurora factory that dates to the house's founding in 1903. This Diamond Toro pairs a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with a Dominican binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. More from the house in our La Aurora collection.
