The Nub Connecticut Torpedo is a tapered 4 x 64 cigar from Oliva in a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. Among the Nicaraguan cigars we hold in Downtown Dubai, it is a creamy, mild to medium choice with a pointed head that concentrates the smoke.
Profile: Mild to Medium
Flavour Notes: Cream, cedar, nuts and a light, toasty sweetness.
Ours opens with cream and soft cedar, and the taper gathers the smoke into a focused, smooth draw. By the middle third a light nuttiness comes through with a toasted edge. The flavour stays gentle and even. As the cigar shortens the sweetness becomes a little more pronounced, and the finish is clean, light and creamy. A compact cigar for daytime.
Nub is Oliva's short, wide format, built on the idea that a cigar reaches its flavour sweet spot sooner when the ring is large and the length is short. The Connecticut blend sets an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, rolled by hand at Tabacalera Oliva in Estelí. The Torpedo shape narrows the creamy smoke at the head. See the house in our Oliva collection.
