The Nub Habano Gordo is a 4 x 60 cigar from Oliva in an Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown wrapper. For those exploring Oliva cigars in Dubai, it packs a medium body and a rich, peppery character into a short, wide format with Nicaraguan tobacco inside.
Profile: Medium
Flavour Notes: Pepper, earth, leather and a rich, robust core.
Ours opens with pepper on the tongue and an earthy depth right behind it, with no slow build. The wide ring gives a generous draw, and through the middle third leather fills out the smoke. The Sun Grown leaf brings richness without heaviness, so it sits comfortably at medium. The final third deepens a little, the earth turning darker, and the finish is long and dry. A full-flavoured cigar for a short sitting.
Nub is Oliva's short, wide format, built on the idea that a cigar reaches its flavour sweet spot sooner when the ring is large and the length is short. The Habano blend pairs an Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler, rolled by hand at Tabacalera Oliva in Estelí. In the 4 x 60 Gordo the Habano flavour arrives big and early. See the house in our Oliva collection.
