The Nub Maduro Tubos is the 4 x 60 Maduro Nub from Oliva, sealed in a tube for carrying. For those who like their Nicaraguan cigars dark and full, it brings a Brazilian Maduro wrapper and a sweet, rich profile in a compact format.
Profile: Full
Flavour Notes: Dark chocolate, coffee, sweet spice and caramel, with a dark, oily richness.
Ours opens on dark chocolate with a touch of sweet spice, and the wide ring gives a thick, easy draw. Coffee comes in through the first third, then caramel softens the middle. The Maduro leaf adds an oily richness that carries through to the end, where the smoke turns darker and the finish lasts. A full cigar that fits a shorter evening, and its tube means it can come along.
Nub is Oliva's short, wide format, built on the idea that a cigar reaches its flavour sweet spot sooner when the ring is large and the length is short. The Maduro blend sets a dark, oily Brazilian Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, rolled by hand at Tabacalera Oliva in Estelí. The tubo protects the cigar on the move.
