The Aniversario 54 is the longest of the God of Fire anniversary shapes, a figurado that takes its time. It belongs with the more ceremonial premium cigars in Dubai at our Downtown Dubai cigar house, the kind kept for a milestone.
Profile: Prometheus does not publish a strength rating for this cigar.
Flavour Notes: Prometheus does not publish detailed notes. Halfwheel's review of the Aniversario 56 describes cocoa-powder sweetness, leather, medium-roast coffee and earth, a green grape note in the aroma, and black and white pepper building toward the finish.
How It Smokes: Going by halfwheel's reading of the same blend, the first third should open sweet and lightly smoky, with a cocoa-powder note, a touch of tang and leather over medium-roast coffee. Through the middle, a green grape sweetness can rise in the aroma, with black and white pepper returning on the palate. The last third tends to tighten and intensify, wood and pepper moving forward while sweetness stays mostly in the aroma. Its length means a long sitting; keep the pace even to protect the burn.
Blend Details: Serie Aniversario was made to mark a God of Fire anniversary, a three-size line of shaped cigars from Prometheus. It uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican binder and filler and is produced at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic, packed in boxes of ten.
