In Serie B, the Double Robusto wears the darker of the line's two wrappers, a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro. Among the premium cigars in Dubai at our boutique, it is the God of Fire to try for a deeper, darker leaf.
Profile: Prometheus does not publish a strength rating for this cigar.
Flavour Notes: Prometheus does not publish detailed notes. Halfwheel's Serie B Gran Toro review describes cocoa, leather, wood and a raisin-like sweetness, then espresso, cedar and black pepper, finishing creamier with the fruit retained.
How It Smokes: Taking halfwheel's notes on the Broadleaf Serie B as our guide, the first third should open with a little spice on the lips, cocoa, leather and wood, plus a raisin-like sweetness. The middle shifts toward espresso and cocoa, with cedar, leather and black pepper on the retrohale. The final third turns creamier while keeping the fruit. The 52 ring gives a full, even draw.
Blend Details: Serie B comes in two wrapper versions over the same Dominican binder and filler; this size uses the Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. It is made by the Fuente family at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic and released by Prometheus in numbered boxes of ten.
