Rocky Patel created the Sixty to mark his sixtieth birthday in 2021, and the Sixty vitola is the namesake of the line at 6 by 60. The cigars were aged for two years after rolling at his factory in Estelí before release. A dark San Andrés wrapper over Nicaraguan tobacco gives it the look of a chocolate bar, and our Downtown Dubai cigar house presents it in the box of 20 for those who enjoy premium cigars in Dubai.
Profile: Medium strength (Rocky Patel).
Flavour Notes: Leather and wood, building to coffee, walnut and ground red pepper (Cigar Aficionado, 96 points).
How It Smokes: Our reading of the Sixty opens on leather and wood, laid down with the weight a 60 ring allows. Through the middle, coffee rises and a walnut note gives it depth and a gentle sweetness. The final third brings in a ground red pepper spice that lifts the finish without crowding it. The box press keeps the draw and burn even and consistent from first light, as reviewers observed.
Blend Details: The Sixty was made for Rocky Patel's sixtieth birthday and is produced at his Tavicusa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. It pairs a Mexican San Andrés wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler, and the cigars rest for a minimum of two years after rolling before they leave the factory.
