Habanos introduced the Petit Royales at the end of 2017, a short, heavy-gauge vitola in line with how many aficionados now like to smoke. In its aluminium tube it is ideal for travel. It is a compact way to enjoy cuban cigars in Dubai, held at our boutique in the case of three tubes.
Profile: Medium, as rated by Habanos. Each cigar is sealed in an aluminium tube.
Flavour Notes: Habanos describes the Petit Royales as delivering the aroma, balance and complexity in nuances of Romeo y Julieta, the classic medium-strength Habano, in a short smoking time.
How It Smokes: Our reading follows the Habanos description. The first third is aromatic and immediate, the 47 ring giving a full draw from a short cigar. In the middle, the balance of the brand shows in a compact window, with nuance rather than weight. The finish comes quickly and stays at medium strength. Habanos does not list specific flavours for the Petit Royales, so we describe the character only.
Blend Details: Petit Royales uses the Caprichos factory format, 47 ring by 95 mm, and joined the regular portfolio in a box of 25 and an aluminium tube in a case of 3. Made totally by hand with long filler from selected Vuelta Abajo leaves.
