Reyes is the smallest Trinidad, a 110 mm petit corona introduced in 2003 with its own factory vitola. Reviewers describe it as stronger than it looks, which is part of its appeal for a short, focused smoke. Our boutique keeps it in boxes of 12 and 24 for guests who enjoy cuban cigars in Dubai in a brief, well-defined format.
Profile: Medium (Habanos brand strength).
Flavour Notes: Leathery and floral with an herbal side, hints of wood and red pepper spice (Cigar Aficionado, 90 points).
How It Smokes: Our reading of the Reyes starts leathery and floral, with an herbal thread that keeps it lively. In the middle, a light wood note carries the smoke while red pepper surfaces without warning. The final inches hold the leather and spice together. The draw is slightly firm, but the burn is even, slow and cool, which gives a small cigar a measured pace.
Blend Details: Reyes was launched in 2003 with Coloniales and Robustos Extra, when Trinidad widened its range beyond Fundadores. The brand was long made at El Laguito and today Habanos produces it in Pinar del Río, totally by hand with long filler from Vuelta Abajo.
