Vegueros honours the farmers of Pinar del Río, where growers have long rolled cigars from their own leaf. Its Entretiempos, a 110 mm Petit Edmundo at 52 ring, comes in a 16-cigar metal tin, and our Downtown Dubai cigar house keeps it for those who want a fuller Habano among cuban cigars in Dubai.
Profile: Full (Habanos rating: Full)
Flavour Notes: Herbal notes, spice, carob, nut, white pepper and roasted tones, as published by Cigars Lover.
How It Smokes: The cold draw hints at herbs and spice. Once lit, the first third is roasted with a light spice, carob and nut showing behind a white pepper aftertaste. In the middle the roasted character holds and the spice grows stronger, lifting the strength. The final third returns to herbal notes and white pepper. The short, thick format keeps the smoke dense, and the full Vegueros profile makes it a compact but assertive smoke.
Blend Details: Vegueros is made at the Francisco Donatién factory in Pinar del Río, a building from 1868 converted to cigar making in 1961. The brand was introduced in 1996 and renewed with new formats, including Entretiempos, presented in 16-unit metal tins. Wrapper, binder and filler all come from Vuelta Abajo.
