La Aurora 107 Nicaragua is the Nicaraguan chapter of the 107 line, hand-rolled at the Dominican factory founded in 1903. At Habanora this collection holds it in four sizes.

An Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and all-Nicaraguan long filler, giving cedar, black pepper, roasted coffee and cocoa with a leather finish at medium to full strength. If you already know the 107 Ecuador, this is the version where the core leads, with more spice from the Nicaraguan leaf. Choose by format. The Robusto, 5 x 50, is the compact smoke. The Toro, 5 3/4 x 54, keeps the draw balanced over a longer sitting. The Belicoso, 6 1/4 x 52, has a tapered head that focuses the flavour at the start. The Gran Toro, 6 x 58, has the widest ring of the four, for a slower, cooler smoke. Smoking two sizes of the same blend is a simple way to learn how format changes a cigar.
