Tabanero Nero is the darkest regular blend from the house: a Mexican San Andrés wrapper with Pennsylvania, Ometepe and Jalapa tobaccos inside, known for notes of dark chocolate and roasted nuts.
Two sizes make up the line. The Nero Robusto (5 x 50) is round and compact. The Nero Toro Box Pressed (6 x 54) is longer and pressed into a squared shape, which many smokers find comfortable in the hand and slower to burn. Same blend, two different experiences of it.
Choose the robusto when you want the full character of the blend in about an hour. Choose the box-pressed toro for a longer sitting, or if you like a firmer, flatter cigar that rests easily on an ashtray. Because Nero is dark and dense, it pairs well after a meal rather than first thing in the day.
Compare it with Tabanero Momentum, the other San Andrés maduro in the range. For more squared cigars, see Tabanero box-pressed cigars, or explore every line in Tabanero cigars at Habanora.
