American binder cigars are grouped here by the origin of one leaf: the binder, grown in the United States. This collection holds two cigars of the New Wave Reserva line, the Robusto (5 x 50) and the Inmensos (6 x 60).

The binder sits between the filler and the wrapper. It holds the filler tobaccos together and guides how evenly the cigar burns, and it adds its own note to the blend. When you compare cigars by origin, read the binder alongside the wrapper and the filler to judge the whole cigar. Between these two, the choice is one of format: the Robusto suits about an hour, while the Inmensos, at a 60 ring, gives a slower and fuller smoke for a longer sitting.
