American Wrapper Cigars

American wrapper cigars in Dubai are grouped here by the leaf you see and taste first: a wrapper grown in the United States. Forty-eight cigars come from Tabanero, La Aurora, Arturo Fuente, Oliva and Prometheus, among others.

The wrapper gives much of a cigar's first impression, so choose by leaf type. Connecticut shade is pale and grown under cloth; it usually leads to a milder, creamier cigar, as in the Tabanero Connecticut Robusto, Toro, Churchill and Big Daddy Gordo, and the Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente Pyramid (6 x 52). Broadleaf is thick and dark, often fermented to a maduro shade, and brings depth and natural sweetness: compare the La Aurora Preferidos 1903 Edition Broadleaf Robusto (5 x 50) and Parejo Broadleaf Toro (5 3/4 x 54). Candela is a green wrapper with a fresh, grassy character, found here in the Tabanero Robusto Candela. If you are unsure, start with Connecticut shade and work towards broadleaf.
