Slim cigars in Dubai with a ring gauge from 30 to 40 fill this collection: lanceros, petit coronas and slender coronas that favour a focused draw over volume. In a narrow cigar the wrapper makes up more of each puff, so its character comes through clearly.

Choose the format first. For a short smoke, the Gurkha Café Tabac petit coronas (4 x 38) come in White Rascal Vanilla, Red Head Cherry and Classic Coffee. The La Aurora Principes Corona (5 x 38) comes in Caribbean, Red, Blond and Brown, and the Principes Chico (4.6 x 29) is shorter still. For length, the Valentino Siesto Lancero Sun Grown measures 7 x 38, with the Semi Lancero 1971 Connecticut at 4.5 x 38 for less time.
