Carlito Fuente revived the perfecto in the 1980s, at a time when, as the family recalls, almost no one else was rolling it. Every Hemingway has a Cameroon wrapper over Dominican binder and filler, made by Arturo Fuente in the Dominican Republic. The Classic placed seventh in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 of 2009.

Because the blend is shared across the line, the choice is about shape and time. The Short Story, at 4 by 42/49, is the compact one. The Best Seller, at 4.5 by 43/55, and the Work of Art Natural, at 4.875 by 46/60, open from a tapered head into a fuller foot. The Signature, at 6 by 46, and the Classic, at 7 by 46, are the longer, more even shapes for a relaxed evening.
